Mitt wants to take away subsidy from PBS and Big Bird.
This dude is out of touch with the everyday family.
Mark my words.....Big Bird will "dump on him"

Seems as though Big Bird is not known on this forum. I guess many do not have or had little kids in the US
No even Rev Al is too embarrassed to talk about that one.
I mean tax cuts of $5T and doubling defense to be funded by cutting off Big Bird.......

Are you saying that Big Bird will Live?
Was it just a spin?
So I guess Big Bird lost a few feathers
Big Bird is not threatened. He is a euphemism for support of PBS. Big Bird is a lucrative privately owned entity who will be licensed always as he is part of Amercana. The support of PBS if miniscule. Romney picked a fight here simply to pander to his right wing base who are constantly harping on PBS as a liberal fifth column in the media. PBS will continue in the major market (large urban centers) since it is profitable and supportable. In small rural markets it is subsidized and this is mainly in the poor red states. The problem here for Romney is that the program is universally acclaimed. This is a matter of cutting off a nose to spite the face.
