ARANSAS PASS, Texas (CBS Houston) — One monkey goes bananas during a traffic stop in Texas.
According to KRIS-TV, the animal attacked Aransas Pass Officer Keith Moore’s hand while he was writing a ticket to a driver for speeding.
A camera on Moore’s sunglasses caught the monkey coming out of the back seat and lunging at his hand when Moore went to hand the driver a pen
“My sergeant thought I had initially got stung with a bee but it wasn’t,” Moore told KRIS. “I ended up telling him when I was walking back that it was a monkey that came out of nowhere.”
Moore was still in shock when he told his fellow officer what happened.
“He’s got a monkey and it attacked my hand,” Moore told his partner. “I’m not even kidding.”
The monkey left a mark on Moore’s hand but the driver wasn’t cited for the animal attack.
KRIS learned that the monkey makes appearances at carnivals and festivals.
