He said it with his own mouth
Budget cuts means end to the slavery by the PPP/Cacaholes.
Did the PPP deliberately kicking out Christians; remember the priests in the rupununi or the Normans recently have some personal grudge against the faith? This politics of personal character assassination and poisoning the society by planting divisive notions is a PPP disease. And you exist here for no other reason but at as a poisoner.
The ERC was useless. It proffered no paper on our divided society. Each day here we have folks defining explicitly their political beliefs by race; what have they done to allay that fear? The PLace was run as a patronage of the PPP and so must go. Any new incarnation of the entity must be civilian organized and civilian run.
The ERC has a constitutional duty to proform, playing partisan politics with that commission should be condemned.
This can be seen as a direct attack on the christian community, those statements from Nagamootoo should be retracted, and he should make a public apology.

Moses is a practicing Christian. There was a meeting here in Richmond Hill and as dinner served Moses wanted to say a prayer over dinner. I was surprised. Conscience is Lenin or Mao your God?
TK, you also appear to be on the AFC bandwagon doing damage control, Nagamootoo a christian? oh please, after literally taking bread out of the mouths of hundreds of Guyanese, he's now on campaign mode, desperately trying to convince some of his very supporters you are severely affected by his party's budget cuts.

Yeah...yeah...I saw it coming. Ah bin tell them since Jan in wan email PPP will do this. Yuh have to anticipate PPP's awesome propaganda machinery. It is the only thing at which they excel at.
State Planning was never planning. All economic planning is done at OP. Conscience your ad is a lie.

It may be so but it could no longer be allowed to function as a patronage system of the PPP. We still suffer extreme political disadvantages on account of racial politics and this org did nothing to address it. I doubt they even had a position on it and if they did it would be the antiquated one embraced by the PPP that only class analysis matters.
We had CANU for years and the drug trade is a growth industry. Many of the PPP close allies are involved in the drug trade. They even employed one as their personal enforcer.
.. the drug trade is a growth industry.
.. dominant in the great US-of-A.
.. growing stronger year after year.

Jeeze...you always have problems with context and parallels. US = $14.5 trill ecconomy with the unofficial sector just about 8%. Guyana = $1.5 bill economy where unofficial sector is between 80-90% of official GDP.

True statement that. They destroyed the research capacity at BOG.

do you think that Obama has his private drug lord as Jagdeo and the PPP had murdering citizens at will?

The damage is done and cannot be undone. Let Moses build his political career by being anti-Christian. He is supposedly a Madrass/Christian. Someone has to figure this out.
Nagamootoo statement should be nipped in the bud, the Christian Community needs to take a strong stance.
Nagamootoo is a christian so take that bit of propaganda and shove it. Rohee on behalf of the PPP expelled the Mormons for facile reasons. That was a deliberate and prejudicial attack on a religion.

The Guyana Government has ordered the expulsion of all the foreign members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
The church members, most of whom are Americans, were detained at the Headquarters of the Criminal Investigations Department, Eve Leary, yesterday, and were given 30 days to leave Guyana. No official reason has been given for the move by the local authorities.
The action is being seen as a diplomatic issue since officials from the American Embassy in Georgetown, including Charge dâAffairs Karen Williams, had to intervene on behalf of the detainees.
âThis has now escalated to a diplomatic incident, I donât possess any skills in that area,â said attorney Nigel Hughes, who is representing the detainees. The church members who are known as Mormons, and who hail mainly from the state of Utah in the United States of America, have been in Guyana for over 20 years carrying out missionary and humanitarian work.Kaieteur News was told that on Tuesday night, police had swooped down on the Lahama Gardens home of two of the churchâs elders and arrested them.
âThey (police) actually went to the home of the elders. They told them to pack their bags and head straight to the airport,â Hughes related.

GEORGETOWN â At least 40 Mormon missionaries, mostly from the United States, were ordered to leave Guyana within 30 days, police said Wednesday.
Police Commissioner Henry Greene said the missionaries had overstayed their visas and failed to extend their missionary status with the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Guyanan President Bharrat Jagdeo met with two elders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints after the arrests, but did not speak to reporters.
The deputy US ambassador to Guyana, Karen Williams, said that meetings were held at "all levels" of the Guyana government in an effort to resolve the issue.
"We've done the best that we can and moving forward I hope they'll be able to work out some other issues," Williams said.
Attorney Nigel Hughes said that he did not know why they were being kicked out.
"As far as I am aware, no specific reason has been given for their action," Hughes told reporters outside the headquarters of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) where the missionaries were being held since early Wednesday.
The Mormon church, which has been in Guyana for more than 20 years, has been supporting community agriculture.
The church also provides humanitarian relief, and in the past has collaborated with Guyana's main opposition Peoples National Congress Reform (PNCR) in providing donations to the poor.
