It was total annihilation on Monday night when Harold Adams slammed in a record 111 points to rewrite the record books by achieving the highest individual score in leading Victory Valley Royals past Bankers Trust Falcons 206-46, another record team total. All the action unfolded at the Mackenzie Sports Club Hard Court when the Linden Amateur Basketball Association (LABA) / Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) Open League continued with second round play. On a night when the record books were rewritten, Adams was awesome with his output in an unimaginable ending. The Royals trio of Adams, Chris Williams and Orlando Glasgow were again unstoppable as they led their team to their 7th straight win, bringing over their form from the first round. Adams more than doubled his previous best of 46 points achieved earlier in this tournament while surpassing the 76 points scored by his teammate Chris Williams a few years ago. By the end of the first quarter, Royals were sailing 40-13 against the hapless Falcons which only mustered six points in the second quarter against the rampaging Royals which cantered ahead 83-19 at the half way mark. The point’s fest continued with 66 points being poured in in the third stanza to lead 149-27 eventually closing out a momentous and historic win at 206-46 etching the Royals name in the history books. Glasgow cashed in with 31 points and Chris Williams 22 while past junior national, Marlon Pollydore chipped in with 16. Lawrence Simon and Stephan Duncan each had 13 points for the Falcons. In the other match, LABA champions Retrieve Raiders squeezed past Amelia’s Ward Jets 57-55, Neil Marks leading the winners with 16 points and Duel Montrose, 10. Parrish Cadogan was the leading player for the Jets with the game high 20 while A. Williams contributed 16.
