Please support Mr. Munir Avery for State Senator in the  14th Senate  District .He is running against the corrupt incumbent Mr Malcolm  Smith who is indicted on several fraud and   corruption charges.

Munir Avery is a candidate for NY State Senate District 14, which encompasses South East Queens. He is an elder care attorney, with twelve years of public service experience. Munir Avery has worked as Director of Constituent Affairs for councilmember Diana Reyna, and he drafted legislation as an intern in the legal division of the New York City Council. Munir also worked as a legal intern in the contracts department in the Human Resources Administration. Munir is a former Assistant District Attorney in Queens County, and a former legislative attorney to Assemblyman Michael Simanowitz. Munir’s community involvement includes membership in Community Board 8, Vice President of the South Flushing Civic Association, Vice President of the Adlai Stenvenson Regular Democratic Club, and is a Board Member of the Blanche Community Progress Day-Care Center.
Munir Avery, born and raised in our community, is working to energize and inform our community on how to navigate the political system, and advocate for programs and policies that will improve the lives of people in our community.

The Munir Avery for the People campaign team will be at Rufus King Park (Jamaica Avenue between 150th and 53rd streets), Cabell Park (121st Avenue and Francis Lewis Boulevard), and Baisley Pond Park (155th Street and Baisley Boulevard) for National Night out Against Crime. Come watch the DEBATE this Thursday! The Queens Chapter National Action Network along with Majority Baptist Church will be Hosting a candidates forum for the 14 Senate District. This seat is currently held by NYS Senator Malcolm Smith.
Candidates are: NYS Senator Malcolm Smith, Mr. Munir Avery, and Former NYC Councilmember Leroy Comrie.
