You must admit that it is appropriate in this case given Tola's exposed bigotry and his subsequent hurried sissy retreat last year.

Even in the first instance the direction of management was for her to work it out. It did not say anyone was obliged to agree to perform duties she hope to avoid. Were that the case then the management should have assigned her other tasks as her duties and serving the cabin as the duty of others. That was not made clear. The employee who complained obviously felt aggrieved  ( bigotry notwithstanding) and her right is to be considered as well. 

For the record, I don't have a problem with Redux. I at tmes agree with him while at other times don't.

Unfortunately Cain, her actions does not suggest that she is a dumb bitch. She properly sought permission from management to accommodate her belief and was granted that permission. All subsequent responses to that permission including yours reek of bigotry especially since the fact remains that she began that job prior to her changed views on serving alcohol. She did not just refuse to do her job as in the Clerk's case in Kentucky.

The girl should not be allowed to serve alchol. This is against her values and norms.  My first boss was a German neo-nazi. He always looked out for me and ensured that I had everything that I wanted. But the man's views went against my core belief of equality for all human beings. It was hell listening to him and his views.  This girl should not have to experience this type of situation.

I do not have a way to enter what you wrote above into my statement that I don't have a problem with Redux since I am thinking of a person and not their views of matters.

At times, I initiate my points of view and consider critics with great interests. Criticism is the market place for good ideas. Then I refine the article and publish it on my blog. There are 10 Guyanese politicians on twitter and some 3000 viewing since April 2015. Many of the topic get viewed over and over.

The "Apaan Jhaat" discussions on here was complied with great emphasis on the views of the three racists on this BB. The number of viewing was of interests to me-over 60 in two weeks. A few days ago I realized why. It was during the preparations for the Round Table discussion on Social Cohesion.

If her job requires that she does, then she should or find other employment. Unfortunately for those drowning in bigotry, her exemption was granted by her employer. She did not just bare faced refused to perform her duties. That is the reason I did not object to her being terminated when the permission was subsequently revoked.

There can only be my approach here. This is not about real people. It is a place where  a Nehru can claim his two sentence cuss out is good sense or where Ugli can chant his ugly chant and think it is fine or where Skeldon man could see negras and buckmen everywhere and not have one salutary view point to offer and think all is well.

There are very few engaged in what philosophers called the long debate and even so it is not one where their views can be fully articulated. Were it not for those few personalities and the glimpse of something greater that they express; the muck of mediocrity here would predominate and fantasy would have consumed all reality. As it is we are all down the rabbit's hole.

My point is this. She applied for a job knowing full well what her duties are. If her religious beliefs go against the job...quit. She shouldn't be a friggin bimbo and try to change anything around her because of her belief. Simple.

The fact is her religion would not have her on the street alone if what the guardians of Mecca is considered the true guardians of role of the Muslim. She is just making up a rule since sne can in a secular world and get a hearing because we are "accommodating". There is no such universal rule that one cannot accept a job as a means to an end of living in a non Muslim world.

I have not reached your stature where I can see posters separately from their posts. I am also not alone as evidenced by how many here are seen as being what they post. Ideas/events are seldom discussed on GNI.

I read posts as the general opinions in the Guyanese community at home and abroad. Views expressed by individuals on here is representative of indians and blacks at large. Those considered to be black racists on here is resonated in their gatherings, likewise in the indian gatherings by those considered indian racists.

The real Nehru and the real Ugli and the real skeldonape live only here in a world where they can. They cannot exist in the real world. That is why I do not consider them persons. I consider them expressing their bad habits under cover od a persona because that is their secret self. Indeed their secret selves can be their real self and they float in the real world but since I do not know, I treat is as a mirage.
