Iran to host Holocaust Cartoon contest in response to #CharlieHebdo Mohammed caricatures

TEHRAN — Iran’s House of Cartoon and the Sarcheshmeh Cultural Complex plan to hold another international contest on the theme of Holocaust denial in the near future.

The 2nd International Holocaust Cartoons Contest has been organized in protest against French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo’s recent publication of the cartoons insulting Prophet Muhammad (S), the secretary of the contest, Masud Shojaei-Tabatabaii, said in a press conference on Saturday.

Shojaei-Tabatabaii, who is also the director of Iran’s House of Cartoon, added that world cartoonists are asked to submit their works before the first day of April.

The first place winners will receive a cash prize of $12,000, the second place will have $8000 and the third $5000.

Same people are "offended" at satire aimed at a dead Pedophile they venerate and worship.

I guess it's perfectly ok to mock 6 million dead people murdered by genocide.

I'm pretty sure the Jews are not going to go nuts and burn down embassies and murder Muslims in response to this.

They're just going to ignore it like civilized people. Not go apeshit in the streets.

Two wrongs do not make a right.  To mock a people that lost so many to racial extermination is preposterous.  One of my first bosses was a Neo-Nazi. The son of a real World War two Nazi. I will never forget the vile ideological racist views of that individual.  Racism in Guyana is nothing when compared with that man's racial ideology which he shared openly with me and others who were working for him.

Wally, I missed your condemnation or at the very least your disapproval of the cartoons from Charlie Hebdo. Maybe you were a lil bit busy.

For the record, I don't agree with what Iran is doing. At the very least, it is stupidness.

We are all going to leave this world one day Shaitaan. When your time as well as mine come, how many people are going to remember, venerate and worship you as compared to that dead pedophile? I am not important enough to be in the same equation as him so we don't need to worry about me.

I saw the Charlie Hebdo cartoons on the internet.  I was totally surprised and upset; particularly, the one that showed gay stuff.  But like I said before two wrongs do not make a right.

I agree that two wrongs don't make a right. The Qur'an states that an eye for an eye but forgiveness is better. So you know that I couldn't disagree with you. However, my inquiry was because that Je su Charlie was covered right here on GNI and I don't remember your input on it. Just saying.
