MOSES NAGAMOOTOO: "Last evening I politely declined an offer to be conferred with an Honorary Doctoral Degree by Texila American University (TAU) but accepted with humility instead an Award of Excellence in Public Service.
Texila was founded by Saju Baskhar, a South Indian educationist whose work has spread to several countries. The university graduated it's first batch of medical doctors last evening.
Texila will confer the Honorary Degree on President Granger upon his return to Guyana.
Guyana is promoting private-public partnership in health and education."

Not sure bout that. More likely, PPP de jure leader and presidential wannabe Clement Rohee would have grabbed at an honorary doctorate.
