-- injunctions restraining defendants granted
JUSTICE Brassington Reynolds has granted a number of injunctions against Glenn Lall, Adam Harris, and the National Media and Publishing Company Limited, whether by themselves, their servants and/or agents, or howsoever  otherwise; and an injunction restraining the third defendant from publishing and/or further causing
to be  published certain defamatory words.
The injunctive orders followed a writ filed in the Supreme Court Registry and the reading of an Ex-Parte Application by way of affidavit for an interim injunction on the part of Ranjisingh Ramroop for and on behalf of the NEW GPC Inc.
Among the words defamatory of the  plaintiff are that the defendants are alleging that the plaintiff is a party to corrupt transactions in supplying pharmaceuticals to the Ministry of Health or the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, and/or that the plaintiff is guilty of price gouging in relation to the supply of pharmaceuticals to the Ministry of Health or the Georgetown Public Hospital; and/or the plaintiff has corruptly been involved in the sale and supply of pharmaceuticals to the Ministry of Health and the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
It was further ordered that the matter be adjourned to 3rd of July 2012 at 9.00 am in Chambers, when it is expected that the defendants will apply for leave to file an affidavit in answer.
