The Bank of Guyana today launched the $5000 note  and it will come into circulation on December 9, 2013.

GINA said that the face side of the note carries the map of Guyana with its natural resources, while the obverse portrays the national bird and the rainforest. Its main colours are magenta and green.

The Bank of Guyana’s Deputy Governor, Dr. Gobind Ganga said that leading up to the circulation date, an awareness campaign will be embarked on through posters, fliers, and advertisement in the print and electronic media, according to GINA.

Bribery and corruption started under PNC. Mr Desmond Hoyte/Persaud tried to end corruption and lawlessness. He jailed Rabbi Washington, Taps, and more.He tried to reform many things. PPP reversed all Mr Desmond Persaud tried. PPP freed the House of Israel scamps and murderers. PPP went on the rampage multiplying PNC bribes and corruption by 20.  PPP is most corrupt of all times.

Was Cheddi wrong when he fired Asgar Ally, and crowned Jagdeo? because it would seems that that was when shortly after the country take on Corruptions of the highest extent.

I don't know the details surrounding Mr Ally. But hindsight says it was poor judgement to choose Mr Jagdeo as MOF. Mr Jagdeo is connected to the underworld.
