If you all really cared about Guyana and it's varied peoples, you would refrain from this kind of behavior which does permanent and lasting damage to the fragile peace and stability of a multiracial/multiethnic society.

 

The PNC seems to be trying to shake off its tactics which do severe damage to Guyana and its society but the PPP seems intent on digging in their heels more firmly in the mud.

Just came from the park where Ramoutar and Irfan were. Gotta say, Ramoutar seems like a very quiet person. I didn't stay for his address because I really couldn't care less plus I have stuff to do with my family. From my vantage point he didn't seem scared like y'all talk about here. Irfan seem pretty calm also just chatting with anyone who cared to talk to him. I was invited. Plus my cousin here in Florida is a huge PPP supporter. We didn't even know when he reached the park since we were watching the game. Heard that Jagdeo is here but he did not come to the park. I was told that he will be at my cousin tonight for a fund raising. Actually the whole entourage will be there. I have no plans to be. I just look on and be amused with Guyana's politics.

Gil, while what happens in Guyana is of no consequence to me, I do acknowledge that it is important to folks there. I just don't know why folks here are loosing their minds.

Guyana elections for us here(except a few) is like a horse race. We don't own a horse in the race,but we bet on our favourite horse we think would win. Once you place your bets, you have to sit back and wait for the results. No need to fret and cuss up each other. This will not enable your horse to win. The race is left to the jockeys and trainers.
