NICIL sells land to Junior Agriculture Minister

Just over one acre of state lands has been sold by the National Industrial and Commercial Investments Limited (NICIL) to Junior Agriculture Minister Valerie Adams-Yearwood

According to a NICIL (Transfer of Property) Order, which was published in the Official Gazette of October 19th, Adams-Yearwood, as of September 13th, 2019, owns Lot 80 Richmond Hill, Mackenzie.

The order was signed by Minister of Finance Winston Jordan and confers upon his colleague title to the property free and clear of all claims and liabilities.

The single plot of land is 1.098 acres in an area formerly known as Plantation Noitgedacht, situated in Adams-Yearwood‘s hometown of Linden. It is shown on a Plan by J.A Kranenburg, Sworn Land Surveyor, dated February 18, 1970 and deposited at the Deeds Registry on August 21, 2002.

The country was under the control of the PPP and its drugs lords for 25 years. The cut in the workforce employed by these drugs lords has forced those workers to embrace alternative means of crimes since then.
