The National Assembly heads for a three-month recess from next week. Sitting will resume in October.
It appears that the no confidence motion is not a priority nor is it an urgent matter for the AFC. They have laid it to rest permanently. This was all "fat talk" by the Alliance for Change.
If this no confidence motion was a priority for the AFC, the party could have moved a motion to cancel/delay the three month recess until the motion is passed. Because the combined opposition has always called itself the majority in Parliament, they only needed a majority to pass the motion for recess. The APNU would never support a motion to cancel/delay recess nor a Motion of No Confidence against the PPP/C.
