No letting up of PNC support for criminals - Green visits home of slain bandit
The People's National Congress (now APNU) doesn't seem to be letting up in its support for criminal elements and this was highlighted by a recent visit to the relatives of slain bandit Mario Gouveia in Albouystown. The party was represented by city mayor and longtime stalwart, Hamilton Green, whose Tuesday afternoon visit lasted around 20 minutes. Apart from offering condolences Green also assured the family that his party was firmly behind them and promised to organize several picketing exercises on their behalf.
Gouveia was part of a trio which attempted to rob an individual at a popular hotel on Saturday last. He died during an exchange of gunfire with police ranks who confronted them.
