Cane cutters can scream "ahbe pan tap" when the note that EVERY institution in Guyana, aside from the GDF and GPF are run by Indians.  And even the GDF and GPF are led by "negroes" carefully selected by the Indian elites.

Blacks on the other hand remain terrified that Indians will victimize them out of employment if they do not do as they are told.

Baseman you know full well that performance does not matter in the civil service.  Its who is there to protect you, race and political affiliation that matters.

Blacks have no one to protect them, as the few blacks who have some little power are afraid of being accused of favoritism.  It has been noted that almost all of the people who have been dismissed for corruption have been Africans, when you know full well that Indians are also massively corrupt.

I note that you are completely unable to refute Freddie Kissoon's argument, also made by Nigel Hughes and others.  The best that you can do is note that the bulk of the low level civil servnats are Africans, when you know full well that this is so only because Indians who are literate enough to do those jobs have no wish to be so underpaid.

You can believe what you wish but that does not detract from the truth.  Guyana is a nation where a tiny Indian elite holds down the rest of the population.  While grass roots Indians experience pyschic pride in "ahbe pan tap" even though most do not benefit,  Africans have a constant reminder that in their own country they are treated as if they are illegal immigrants.

This is the point.  There are almost no opportunities for AfroGuyanese to exercise leadership, or to control the dispersal of resources in Guyana.

Guyana is as every bit as Indian led in 2013 as it was African led in 1976 and you are fully aware of this and admitted as much two years ago.

I don't know why you harp on the same topic, Civil Service jobs attracted Afros historically.  Even in the PNC hay day it was so...and it was always lower paid but filled with job security.

There are very few Govt-controlled entities left in Guyana, most have been privatized.  By 1976, there were very few large entities not under the control of the PNC, and they stacked it with PNCites.  The Govt recently appointed several Afros to ambassadorial positions.

If the civil service historically attracted Africans one would expect an OVER representation of African heading govt agencies as they will have the requisite interest and experience.  Just as I would expect Indians to be over represented as rice farmers and (togather with Chinese and Portuguese) as business men.

Yet we see Indians heading every thing to do with the govt, except for the GDF and GPF, where stooges ageeable to Jagdeo, were appointed.

And almost all the ones which remain are headed by Indians, inclusive of the airport, customs, etc.

I note your inability to name Africans, apart from the nominal few who are token ministers, Benn being one of the few with real clout.

You have to thank Nigel Hughes and Freddie Kissoon for thr few black ambassadors that we have no0w.  Prior to last year there were none who were appointed.

As to blministers.  Token Hinds, who cant even win votes in his own home town.  The others being toothless, useless and disrespected, with the exception of  Benn being the only one with clout.  Regardless as to what people might think of him.
