ane Cutter goes on rampage; stabs 3, kills self in Berbice
[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 48 – year – old Cane Harvester of Krotheraadt, East Bank Berbice went berserk on Sunday, June 21 when he decided to break into his Mother – in – Law’s house, stabbed three persons, burned the house down and then killed himself.
A police report confirmed that at approximately 20:50 hrs, Nandlall Ragnauth went to the home of his reputed wife’s mother at No. 7 Village, West Coast Berbice, where he broke into the home and attacked his reputed wife Hushmanie Rasheed, 28 years, with a knife.
The woman, her brother Devanand Tuldas, 21 years, and a friend Bharat Narine, 34 years, of No. 2 Village, WCB, were stabbed to their bodies during the incident.
According to the police, the man then set the house on fire, which was destroyed before hanging himself from a tree on the premises. The body is at the Fort Wellington Hospital Mortuary.
Hushmanie Rasheed and Bharat Narine were treated at the Fort Wellington Hospital, while Devanand Tuldas has been admitted to the New Amsterdam Hospital. Investigations are in progress.
