Speaking of Investment, here's a true eg. A friend of mine bought a land in G/Town (commercial) in 1997 for us$116,000. He then used it for collateral and financed his operations. The plot of land was left there to idle because the area was not so prime at that time. He sold it last month for us$322,000. Making a profit of us$206,000 over 14 years.
Could you have made better use of the $116,000 in 1997?

I keep telling y'all plenty Guyanese millionaires...leverage, bai, financial leverage and use of low interest rates to pay off mortgage and finance investments.

I know of 1 person who used to make minimum wage and bought a place for 50k. They keep fixing up and fixing up and now the place bringing in $50k a year in rental income.

i don't even have a million gyd to invest yall talking about 1 mil usd

The vehicles we own (though manufactured in 1996/1997) gives us an average consumption (with AC on) of 50-55 km/g or 32 m/gal. I cover about 100 km per day so its kind of rough on the income.

I like most of all that it allows me to see the world..

but if I lost everything I have today and still have my health I would still be happy.....

Before I made 'big money' I used to ride a motor bike to work, I saved 3,000 in gas per week but a bike means you are exposed to all the weather elements. I did this for 8 years. I dont' worry about gas when I drive to work, its the thief man them, yesterday they stole my mirror lenses. I drive a 2008 - 1500cc to work and its very fuel efficient.

I am in my early 30's. In 2006 I voted for Ravi Dev (ROAR) because I was won over be his eloquence and his federalism doctrine. However his pull a fast one and vanished form Guyana. I felt cheated. Over the past 5 years a lot has changed in my life socially and economically, my business continued to flourish but yet I see the ills of PPP/C administration.

Here's a brief guideline:
I am now married and has a child.
My family needs are met comfortably.
I bought a house in an upper class area (cash purchase).
I have luxury vehicles and yet I live a simple life here, many daysI ride a bicycle to work.
I try to put an image to the man in the street that I am an average Joe, I dont overdress etc.(I am not into drugs).

If you were in my place which Party you would have chosen? Do one choose continuity or ask for a change?
