It’s only in Guyana that a foreign ambassador’s open and public disrespect towards the President of a sovereign state would find support among the opposition and its supporters. This would not have been tolerated anywhere else in the world. It shows the depths those who oppose the PPP/C government are prepared to go in their quest for political power, even if it amounts to unpatriotic behavior. Would Brent Hardt have been tolerated in the U.S? Would the Republicans support a Guyanese Ambassador’s disrespect towards President Obama along with his constant partisan intrusions into US politics? Hell no!

But here in Guyana we have an opposition which has been rejected by the majority at every single election since our country’s independence. They are devoid of ideas on how to motivate their supporters and maintain their fledgling support base. As such, they often find solace in supporting anything which they feel will make the government of the day and the ruling PPP party look bad, even if it amounts to lawlessness, criminality and now the meanderings of a Jackass.

Only you and the PPP sycophant see the President as worthy for defending in an instance where he is in the wrong.Since when is the embrace of anti democratic tactics defensible?

One does not have to look far to conclude you are an idiot. The PPP does not own guyana. They are consummate crooks and to be against them rises to a level of godliness.

Guyana cannot afford to have an opposition that is unpatriotic to ones country. PNC is a party that's rely on riots and rig elections to hold power. Granger is using them no good coolie like Redux to put Indians against each other.

Do you think it can afford those corruptocrats in office? Stealing from the state at that rapacious level is not patriotism.

I do not know  your fixation with what ethnicity is redux but as usual you need that crutch. It makes sense only to kneebenders from the PPP.

Are you not an American Citizen? You can start a protest by giving up your citizenship and go back to Guyana and encourage others to do so too.

Anyone who sees the wrong doings by the Governing party (PPP/C)and yet condone their actions are traitors to their country and their people.

(Especially if the only reason for them keeping their corrupt party in power is .."is abie time now.")

What do you call speaking of what is wrong in Guyana? Canada is first choice for the educated immigrants. On my trips abroad, people clap for Canadians whilst Americans are booed and jeered. Canada is America's biggest customer.

Their "fledgling" support base is 51% of the voters MORE than that of the PPP.

And with PPP supporters rioting against the PPP in Essequibo who knows what the current PPP support base is.   And the problem that the PPP has is that there aren't enough black people in Essequibo for them to play that "black man bad" racist mantra in order to terrify Indians.

In the USA free speech is allowed.  Loads of countries have much to say about the USA.

Its only under the PPP dictatorship that any who say things that the PPP doesn't like must be vilified.  Hence their rage at the USA, who made the PPP eat humble pie and accept the governance project.

The question will be how long before Guyana gets a new US Ambassador.  Will Guyana's issues be handled by some junior desk officer until then?
