DR. ROGER Luncheon stated: “Change, we assert, can best be brought about through studied, principled and more conventional approaches.” I will say this, on behalf of Cabinet, that, if these attacks on NICIL are aimed at providing the basis for change, for dragging us, for forcing us into change, I can assure you that they are destined for failure,” Luncheon posited. When a leader of a political party who is also a sitting Member of Parliament in opposition to the government of the day says to anyone including other politicians: "I want to interrogate you" and not debate you on TV then most people know exactly what this politician is saying and should be taken very seriously. Mr. Khemraj Ramjattan, leader of AFC and sitting Member of Parliament said this has gone from corruption to fraud where Mr. Ramjattan advised Mr. Winston Brassington to seek legal advice through a lawyer. What is Mr.Ramjattan really saying to Mr. Brassington? See Stabroek News blog site where most anti-government bloggers are calling for full prosecution and jail time for almost every sitting member of the PPP/C and including jail time for former President Jagdeo. Glenn Lall and Adam Harris of Kaieteur News are not the only guilty parties of these daily wanton attacks on government ministers, but Stabroek News plays its part in it too, in that they allow certain bloggers to advocate on its website. This is how much the anti-PPP/C critics are hungry in their lust for power. Guyana is no different from Rwanda where, in Guyana, some misguided people take words of their politicians very seriously and will not hesitate to act. Again, I warn that should PPP/C government fail to take serious action against these players then I am afraid the opposition will not stop until their objectives are achieved and that is to find a way to jail some members of the ruling PPP/C government and call it fraud. |
