Over $2M up for grabs in 6th annual Courts 10K event

Courts Guyana Inc. in collaboration with the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) will be hosting its much anticipated sixth annual Courts 10K Road Race on September 25 and follows on the heels of the record breaking event held last year.
The event has now become a fixture on the AAG calendar and usually enjoys the support of some clubs, athletes and gyms every year with last year having the largest registration in the history of the race.
Courts Guyana encouraged by that success is plunging in excess of $2,000,000 into this year’s race and according to a release, the company was heartened by the growth it has seen throughout the years.

The event is opened to runners in the junior, senior and masters categories for both males and females and Courts will be handing over $1,500,000 in cash, prizes and trophies to the respective winners.
The race will commence at Courts Main Street Store at 06:00hrs and a 3K event will be held simultaneously for staff members of the company as the brand continues to promote healthy lifestyles even among its staff.
The first to third place winners for both male and female staff members will be awarded with cash prizes and trophies. The races will commence at Courts Main Street and follow a prescribed route.
The release added that Courts is proud to be able to continue to host this event and make good on its commitment to sports in Guyana. Also on board is the National Sports Commission that will be assisting with the logistics of the event. Registration for the event closes on September 23.
