Paradise Invaders, NA Utd score victories in Namilco football in Berbice

Two matches were played in Berbice as action in the GFF/Namilco Flour Power Under-17 football tournament continued with one game at the Paradise Ground on the West of Berbice, while the other was contested at the Burnham Park.

In the game at Paradise, home team Paradise Invaders’ edged past Monedderlust FC 1-0 with Shaqueel DeHarte 65th minute strike sending his team in the lead and sealing deal in a keenly contested game.

Over at the Burnham Park ground in New Amsterdam, New Amsterdam United had to battle hard to overcome surprise package Young Strikers1-0.

After a scoreless first half, NA United was able to pat one home in the 46th minutes off the boot of Jamal McCalmont to take the lead. The score remained the same until the final whistle.
