Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Guyana for the final leg of his three-nation tour, following a successful G20 visit to Brazil. He was warmly welcomed at Georgetown airport by Guyanese President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, Prime Minister Mark Phillips, and other dignitaries.

This historic visit marks the first trip by an Indian Prime Minister to Guyana in over fifty years.

PM Modi will also address the Guyanese Parliament and participate in the second India-CARICOM Summit. Additionally, Guyana is honoring him with its highest national award, the Order of Excellence.

The visit is expected to further enhance India-Guyana relations, especially in digitalization and innovation.
