This is a huge portfolio for one person who doesn’t have experience in the field.

That is alright. He is PM so he can find the right experts to tell him what needs to be done. Ministers don't have to be experienced in the field just like how the cabinet secretaries in the US aren't necessarily experts in that field. The trouble is that in Guyana ministers were not held account for their ministries. Ali said his administration will be results driven. Hopefllly he means it.
Quite different from Nagamootoo's portfolio which was limited to him just cussing out anyone who criticizes the Coalition.
Not just a token BLACK appointee, he has a job to do.
Nagga was Window Dressing.

Each Department will have a Person who will be in charge of the day to day activities. Prime Minister Mark Phillips will oversee and correlate the activities of all the Department heads. He will then report to President Ali of all the happenings. The PM has the supervisory experience and has a Master's degree in Public Management.
He will do fine. That is the job I expected him to have.
Good job Dr. Ali.
Naga was terrible window dressing. He was always so antsy.
GPL is in big trouble. Five years of neglect by David Patterson. He has his work cut out for him.
Good that the PPP did away with all that convoluted ministries that Granger invented. It is much simpler now where one knows who is in charge of what.

We did it in 1992 and we can do it again in 2020.
So what's is Government Business in Parliament ? help out my old brain.
With all the departments in charge, no wonder Kwame is the watchman.
There are far less departments in the PPP/C government than those in the previous PNCR/APNU/AFC period -- May-2015 to 2020-July.
Looks like everyone has a fair share of work to match their compensation. I wish him well! Hoping that he gets the right staff to assist him.
I read somewhere that the current administration has about 39% less ministers than the previous one.

Why are you picking on Kwane? He has an important job to do and he is not a bodyguard.
Is Kwame going to work "under" or "above" de Prime Minister?
Jes asking.
His job will require him to follow the directions of the PM. In fact all other ministers are accountable to the PM. That role was stripped from Nagamootoo who basically was the Prime Propagandist for the Coalition when he was not cussing out anyone who criticizes the Coalition.

Are sowing the seeds of discontent? Why everybody picking on Kwame. He is a minister in the Government for Christ sake.

He just has to be a good manager. Hire the right people and let them manage the daily businesses. A good manager will demand his subordinates to be accountable.
