PNC, CPP, PPP, GCPP Are All Useless Parties

Date: 15-Feb-2013, Source

Dr. Sekou Nkrumah, the last son of Ghana’s first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah has described the minority political parties in Ghana as “useless” entities.

He told XYZ Breakfast that: “PNC, CPP, PPP, GCPP they are all useless”, adding: “Ghana’s politics is now NDC and NPP…it is clear that we are stuck with those dominant political parties”.

Sekou Nkrumah

Dr. Nkrumah who now says he belonged to neither the main opposition New Patriotic Party nor the ruling National Democratic Congress said there is no way he will support his father’s party CPP or any of the other small political parties.

He said: “when we come to 2016 I’ll have to make a choice between NDC and NPP because those are the two options we have; they are the two parties that have the ability to win elections”.

Dr. Nkrumah was a member of the CPP but resigned to join the NDC in 2008. He later served as Coordinator of the National Youth Council in the Mills-Mahama administration following the NDC’s victory in the 2008 elections.

He however remained a harsh critic of President Mills’ style of running the country which cost him his job as Coordinator of the National Youth Council.

He still remained an NDC member but promised never to campaign for then President John Mills or vote for him in the 2012 elections.

Dr Nkrumah however later pledged his support for Nana Akufo Addo, the Presidential candidate of the main opposition NPP and announced his resignation from the NDC.

Nah, you see the PNC backers and their katahar conspirators (like some you referenced) are running out of steam with the positive economic news coming out of Guyana, so there is little to debate.

Dem jumping up and pounding dem chests like mountain gorillas while we a watch dem and juss gafa laff.  The people of Guyana don't give a hoot for their politics.  They (katahars like Mitwah, et al) are better served fighting the encroaching tyranny of Obama than trying to pour their devilish acidity on the blooming democracy of Guyana.

Sekou Nkrumah was named after Guinea's Sekou Toure (re4member him from the 60s and 70s). In those days Gamel Abdul Nasser (Egypt) Sekou Toure (Guines), Kwame Nkrumah and a couple others were charting geo-political alliances not unlike the European royal courts. One of Nasser's family got married to one of Nkruma's family. The Non-aligned movement was born out of that thinking.

Burnham's socialist orientation with the Non-aligned movement was in contrast to Cheddi's orthodox Kremlin brand of socialism. Of course, Rodney's WPA was your basic South-South socialist orientation. We basically were f*%ked as a young independent nation with all this socialist thinking with an economy that was controlled by capitalist interests (Sugar and Bauxite). Imagine if Burnham or Cheddi were Trinidad's rulers and had nationalized the oil industry there - lawd help dem Trinis.
