A frequent traveller was on Monday afternoon arrested at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) after a large quantity of cocaine was found in his luggage.

Based on information reaching INews, the suspect- who resides in Kara Kara, Linden and in Ozone Park, New York, United States of America – was intercepted as an outgoing passenger destined for the USA at around 16:35hrs yesterday.

After a search was conducted on the suspect’s luggage, 1,828 grams of cocaine was found hidden away in one of his suitcases.

The suspect is presently being processed for court.

They should have allowed him to go thru and inform the authorities at the other end to get him. Guyana needs to "sub-contract" these interceptions   for more effective prosecutions  outside of Guyana.

Note how these interceptions are more frequent than under the PPP regime.

A silly heading for this article, it should actually read, "PPP fund raiser gone bad." This guy was heading out of Guyana where, as always stated here is a PNC Govt was caught by.PNC workers at the PNC airport...just does not make any sense. Now it would make more sense it being a PPP fund raiser to help them back in power. BADDAM!

The law is finally doing right.

What actually happened is that this pnc man decided to go into business for himself and bypass the Granger cartel, now he paid the price. Only Granger approved drug shipments are allowed out of the country.
