What the hell is wrong with these jackasses? I guess PPP left them a lot of money. They don't don't know what to do with it. People are struggling and these a**holes are painting trees and light posts. What a kountree!!.

I dont think paint does any harm, but its common in some countries the government use paint to number the trees so the officials can make the city green and keep track of which type of trees are found in which area.

Is appears that the painting is for joy and not for the protection of trees.

Why don't they spend a few dollars and put some transparent zinc sheets on the roof of Stabroek Market to bring sunlight in that dark place?  How about tiling the floor of the market to make it look cleaner? Guyanese are stupid people.
