Opposition aligned internet newswebsite Demerara Waves in one of its reports on the Vanessa Kissoon/PNC imbroglio last week indicated that 400 PNC members from the mining town have attached their signatures to a petition denouncing David Granger's handling of the incident. The petitioners said that if the proper procedures are not followed and due process does not prevail then there's a likelihood that "the people of Region 10" will be forced into political action to demand justice for Kissoon.
Apart from instructing party chairmanSharma Solomon not to cooperate with Granger's Disciplinary Committee the group also said Granger has displayed a particular pattern of unacceptable behavior towards Kissoon. This is has its genesis in her refusal to go to the mediaand publicly deny that there was no agreement between government and APNU for electricity ratesto be increased, which was a lie.
