HICKEN TAKES OVER A’ DIVISION; GRANGER EXPRESSES WORRY

Controversial Senior Superintendent of Police, Clifton Hicken has been appointed as the new Commander of A’ Division which covers the largest Police district and the most populated part of the country. Hicken was the Commander of E&F Division which covers Linden during the Linden protests when the police shot and killed three protesters.

Hicken was named by a number of the eyewitnesses as one of the Police officers firing live shots at the protesters during that 2012 protest in the mining town.

In a release on Monday, the Guyana Police Force announced that Hicken who served in a number of other Divisions will immediately take over as the A’ Division Commander. He replaces the retired Assistant Police Commissioner George Vyphuis.

Leader of the Opposition David Granger told News Source that he is very concerned about the promotion of Hicken to manage the A Division. He said the Linden Commission of Inquiry made several recommendations after finding that the Police were responsible for the gunning down of the Linden protesters , but the Police Force has failed to act on the Commission’s report.

The Police Force also announced the appointment  of Senior Superintendent Leslie James as the new Crime Chief and Head of the Criminal Investigations Division of the Police Force.

First you have understand the difference between a protester and a rioter. The CoI did blame the police force for the alleged shooting. The CoI also stated that APNU's representatives are solely responsible for the riot, not protest. Granger is the last person to cast blame on anyone.

Protesters were murdered by the police who were under orders from the PPP and yes the COI passed judgement on them. The Commissioner of Police apologized for the shootings by the police on the first day of the COI. The protest broke out into a riot after the police murdered the protesters. They had every right to behave unruly after their kinfolk were murdered by the PPP Jackboots. Get your facts straight before you come here and shoot nonsense.

In your eyes any time black people protest that is a riot.  Before the shooting there was no violence.  The people refused the order to disperse, but then that is what protesters do.  The police then shot at them.

No evidence was found that Police shot anyone. It was PNC agents looking to cause civic unrest that did the deed.

Kaieteur News understands that while the Commission unearthed no direct evidence that any individual ranks shot the protesters, the Commission deemed the Guyana Police Force culpable, since there was no evidence that anyone other than the police ranks were in possession of firearms when protestors and persons in the vicinity were shot. During the hearing, senior police ranks who testified had stated that the civilians were shot with copper-coated shotgun ammunition and claimed that this ammunition was no longer used by the Force.

Substance abuse is a bad thing. Your brain seems to have permanent damage.  Everyone knows the PNC killed the protesters to spark civil unrest, the end game was to win election which they achieved via rigging and public dissent. Notice how no calls for forensic audit or otherwise. The PNC/AFC knows that they would be inculpated if an investigation was done.

Do not get all grandiose in your delusions and think yourself "everyone". Not everyone bought the PPP tale of the people shooting themselves and they are composed of a tiny minority of air heads like you.

Where is the evidence that it was PNC agents?

The Commission stated that the GPF were to blame.

Look at how stupid you are. Every one knew that the PNC killed people in Linden.  So then why would Lindeners have turned in large numbers if it was the PNC which killed and injured and terrified them?

You are such an idiot.

I am still waiting for evidence that the PNC agents were responsible.  No one furnished proof of this. Seelall stated that the police men who fired were identified.
