There seems to be a bundle of controversy regarding the appointment of the new batch of ministers. For example, the position of Minister of Culture and Sports has been awarded to Charles Ramson. Lots of people are wondering why, since Mr. Ramson is qualified as a petroleum engineer. But, this is politics yesterday, today and in the future. However, we must remember that Guyana's Political System has been shaped by our former colonial masters and mistresses. Therefore, the various ministries are run by the permanent secretaries. These secretaries do have the awesome responsibilities of seeing the organization and efficiency and the functioning of the day to day activities. The ministers are merely in a position of putting forward and defending their activities in parliament and in the public. Therefore, we should be more concerned about the secretaries that report to the ministers.

RRR I don't think that Ramson is a petroleum engineer. To be a professional Petroleum engineer you have to get your bachelor's degree in Petroleum engineering. This is the professional degree. Which is a 4 year degree. I don't think that there is any 2 year masters degree that can make you a petroleum engineer.
All the Permanent Secretaries will be replaced. Reza is obviously a brilliant person, but he knows nothing about business and Government. Reza never criticizes the inept ministers of the Granger Government which led me to believe that he is one of them who does not like the PPP, and who is not well informed.
Ramaji, he is Ali's relative.

Rama [crystal ball] seems to have a krak and he is not even good at reading minds.

It doesn't matter. The man is looking for a job. Ali is quite aware of his being accused of nepotism if he gives him one.
