In 1992, the people though they were earning political Freedom; it did not happen.

It is therefore not surprising, again bearing in mind the limitations of the time, that more and more people in the village are rising up now and objecting to what the PPP is doing and are itching for elections to give them what the deserve, a sound trashing at the polls.

Why do you think the PPP hiding from the elections?

Whichever way you look at it, a change of government now would be a good thing. It's not healthy politics when one political party is in power for 22 years or 28 years. Abuses happen.

Shorter-term governments abuse less and produce better results.

I think at least 5 years in the opposition would be a good thing for the PPP.

Defeat at the coming elections would be a blessing in disguise for Freedom House. All the soup drinkers will scuttle ship and the true and loyal folks will remain with the party. They would have learned their lesson, hopefully, and behave decently next time in government.

I believe if the PPP won consecutive elections within the past 22 years, they're in their right to stay in power as long as the voters want to keep them in office. I respect your opinion, but I also respect democracy and the people's right to chose their government. Correct me if I am wrong, GillY.
