It will be difficult for an Indian to carry this district unless he or she was born and  went to school here with an American accent.

I would support Bachu.  He is one of the few class acts in RH.  A very fair and reasonable Businessman. I was surprised at the high level of Service his Office provides.

Who do you have in mind. I doubt whether People will Vote because of the color of the skin or the heaviness of an accent. NYC has plenty Elected Officials with thick Accents.

Good choice Nehru, but he is not interested in politics as I found out recently. Would you like to support Vishnu Mahadeo or Farouk Samaroo? Farouk shows more interest to fill the vacancy.

eVERY tOM, dICK AND hARRY WOULD LIKE TO FILL vACANCIES AND i ADMIRE THEIR efforts but not every Tom, Dick and Harry are capable of being in such positions.   I will certainly support Vishnu. I am very well aware of the GREAT work he has done, is doing and will do for our Community.

I agree, Vishnu is a humble man and always active. Since I am on Liberty Avenue, I get to see more of his activities in the community. I feel the same, though other may differ on their choice of candidate. BTW, Chief don't see eye to eye with Vishnu. He should sit and reconcile his differences with Vishnu.

A note for Chief:

I will support a Black candidate if he's a Guyanese/American.

I could have bet some money and won that Darmin is not interested to run for office right now.

The man has a good and busy practice going for him and trust me he will never be a gutter rat like the current crop who are soliciting here on this forum.

Vishnu and I are actually friends for we go back a very long way. The first time we met was at a luncheon in his honor upon his return from England back to Guyana. It was held at Arawak Steak House at Banks DIH. We met at a function just like three weeks ago.

Vishnu is a decent fellow but just as all the other friends on GNI are saying he need some "polishing". My position on that is, if he did not shine in the last 20 years, I doubt that "polish' can work now.

Vish will be an asset in assisting   someone young who have political ambitions from within our community.
