Fitness Express stays the corporate course Some 22 of the best powerlifters in Guyana, both male and female are getting ready for the final event on the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation calendar for 2017, the Senior national Championships which will be contested on Sunday at the Ramada Princess Hotel, Poolside. Among those expected to contest are Romario Gonsalves, Arif Immamdeen, Winston βLittle Masterβ Stoby, Masters 3 athlete Frank Tucker as well as the βPower Puff Girlsβ sisters, Grace and Blossom Babb. Events of this nature cannot succeed without the help of corporate entities and Fitness Express has once again shown its commitment in staying the course of support ever since it opened its doors for business in Guyana a few years ago. Manager Jamie Mc Donald cemented the entityβs 2017 commitment recently when GAPLF Treasurer Colin Austin collected the cheque at Fitness Expressβ John and Sheriff Streets, Campbellville store. Mc Donald once again expressed gratification at being able to contribute towards the marquee event of the federation and noted that the sport though the athletes have been doing Guyana proud over the years. Austin conveyed his federationβs appreciation to Mc Donald and his company for their unflinching support which continues to motivate the athletes into doing their best at an event which will no doubt be one of the bench marks by which athletes can make it to Caribbean, regional and international competitions for 2018. Among the other major sponsors for Sundayβs event are Ramada Princess Hotel. Buddyβs Gym, Trophy Stall, Dynas Embroidery, Banks DIH, Sann Sports, NCN Sports Magazine, Maximum Sports Combat and Strength TV Programme.
