OK the meaning of brilliant according to the Oxford dictionary is - Exceptionally clever.

LOL.  So are you saying a woman who has NO constituency is an excellent move?  JOKERS.  She cannot get the Amerindian and East Indian votes and the Afros are DEAD SET against the PPP.

So this is NOT an exceptionally clever move Uncle Rama.  TRY another word.

You mean dem women whose house always getting flood out and they have to worry when the next bandit will enter?

That's a good move. However, as the WPA said when Rodney died, "This act in itself will not delay their day of judgement."

In the same way the PNC needs to leave Burnham where he is, the PPP should keep Jagdeo far away.

This is just a case of rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

We need to prorogue the PPP.

YES! Flooding is an act of God. Liz will control the women and the women will control the youths. They all will vote PPP for a brighter future.

Don't blame God for not maintaining the kokers and fulling up the canals. God did not give Surendra the contract for the pumps.

The corrupt undemocratic arrogant vengeful PPP can pick whoever it wishes as prime ministerial candidate. That is the PPP's right.

It is for the voters to decide whether Elizabeth Harper will stop runaway corruption and high-handedness or whether she will just be a female Sam Hinds.

The voters cannot depend on presidential candidate Donald Ramotar to stop runaway corruption and high-handedness because he failed to do so as president.

In fact, Ramotar proved to be the most high-handed of all the presidents when he prorogued the parliament unnecessarily.

Wha rain nah full, dew cyaant full. Donald-Sam duo was rain. Elizabeth is dew.

The importance is that the PPP/C is making the right moves and, despite all of the "gymnastics" the the two main opposition parties are demonstrating, it-PPP/C will emerge with more than 52% of the votes at the May 11, 2015 elections.

Actually Mr. Wally:

The PPP has several people that Dr. Jagan would call square pegs.  People like Manickchand, Carolyn, etc.

The insiders will tell you stories of how these people became Ministers.

The point is to save Guyana from all the thiefing.  You can't put lipstick on a pig.

The fat one was angling herself to think she is Prime Ministerial or Presidential materials.

I think you're all looking at it from the wrong angle. The PPP does not appoint Blacks for electoral viability, but for image reasons.

No matter the cries of PPP hatred of Blacks, Western emissaries will still write home about the Black prime minister. That's good enough for the PPP.

Loyal, Black, knows their place, no policy ideas whatsoever. And she is known in foreign diplomatic circles. She is perfectly suited for the PPP's purposes.

Western emissaries write home about how divided Guyana is.  That is wh the USA offered to fund a program on governance, and the PPP had a heart attack on the mere fact that Guyanese would learn some thing about becoming more involved in running their communities.

The PPP selects its useless blacks out of its own need to hide how fundamentally racist they are. When told this they trot out their black thugs or toothless tokens.

Problem is that the PNC has allowed an Indian to run as an almost co leader in its APNU/AFC coalition.  It has killed any perception that it is as racist as the PPP is.

no doubt, no doubt

this telegraphs that the PPP has decided on an anti-blackman, scare the bejeezus out of Indos, scorched-earth campaign

the prominent black face is needed not for Afro votes, but for deniability & PR in important foreign climes

the opposition must be prepared for the race provocations and false flag operations to come . . . it is the jagdeo way

Guyana is most known as a nation of ethnic conflict.  Every description is about the African supported PNC and the Indian supported PPP.  This is what every western diplomat is given in his briefing about Guyana when they first arrive.

The use of tokens isn't for outside consumption.  It is used as a defense when Africans (and increasingly Indians) point out how hostile the PPP is to blacks.

you cannot be serious

the PPP is fully aware that people like Sam Hinds have no credibility with the Afro-Guyanese masses

since these token black people bring no votes to the PPP . . . what's the (local) point of the exercise again?

Marnin  Rama, stay warm, cova up you titties outside. Its spring hea.

There was a women and youth program in Berbice for years, before your corrupt bribe taking PPP officials shut it down.

Was Elizabeth Harper born then. How come we never heard about her.

Which country will she be assisting women and youth ? Annada Sam Hinds.

The only thing the PPP 'do good' is thief from taxpayers and build mansions, on the backs of the needy.

Wha you gun do when the PPP lose the election?

Tola

Being a career diplomat, why was Ms. Harper not appointed to be the Minister of Foreign Affairs when she was eligible? If she is not qualified to be a minister in her field, what makes her qualified to be Prime Minister?

Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett. The PPP handed her this portfolio to capture the Amerindian vote in the last elections even though she does not have any experience in the Foreign Affairs field.

So even she would not have been a good choice for PM as some of the guys are suggesting. Politics in Guyana is as screwed up as ever.

Now it makes perfect sense why the PNC has killed all perception that it is not as racist as the PPP. Just a likkle though.
