PPP anti-corruption demo hits C/R today

The Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) is expected to embark on an anti-corruption demonstration in Cape Coast on Saturday.
This will be the third in the series of demonstrations organized by the by the PPP.
In an interview with Citi News National Secretary of the PPP, Kofi Asamoah Siaw, said “ever since the party stated talking about anti-corruption and the fact that we needed to take action against it; all sorts of persons, including, Ministers of the gospel, civil society, religious leaders and renowned personalities’’ talk about fighting corruption in the society.
Mr Asamoah Siaw further stated that the PPP’S anti-corruption crusade is making an impact because “corruption has become one of the prayer lines of pastors’’.
He expressed hope of a massive turn out for the demonstration. “We are okay with the patronage so far; all our members in Central region are anticipating a massive demonstration tomorrow,’’ he added.
The PPP anti-corruption demonstration started in 2013 in Accra and moved to Kumasi. The two demonstrations recorded very low turnout.
