What the PPP is hoping is a low turn out, because in scenarios like that the incumbent party usually wins, and when one adds the definite rigging that the PPP will be engaging in, this favors them even more.

Did you ever think that attacking anti PPP folks, because they refuse to be yes men to you, is really a poor strategy, guaranteed to ensure that the PPP wins?

After 55 years of bad rule by BOTH the PPP and the PNC please expect that many have just lost interest.  In 1997 408k voted.  In 2011, a scant 342k.  The PPP only lost control by 5000 votes.

Unless APNU and the AFc establish in the eyes of the population that, not only is the PPP bad, which every one knows, but that the coalition will be better, then they lose.

Its as simple as that, and only boy scouts and college kids have difficulty in seeing this.  I am amazed at the arrogance of the AFC supporters on GNI, and sincerely hope that those in Guyana don't suffer from this ailment.

This is the problem right here.  The PPP keeps benchmarking itself with the Burnhamist PNC. If they are doing slightly better than the PNC that's great.

.

The PPP is destroying the rice industry, and the PNC under Burnham did the same.

So unless the APNU AFC convince people who have distinct memories of the PNC era that APNU AFC will be different they might just not vote.

Practical people have no time to waste with ideologues, and those caught up in party fanaticism.

The fact that you cannot see the hypocrisy behind deriving income from Amaila Falls, while simulataneously accusing the PPP of corruption because of this same project, is interesting.

So what can we expect of the AFC, why should they automatically deserve support?

APNU AFC have to make their case just like every one else, and will lose if they don't.

The AFC cannot claim that they have a moral high ground, and certainly not when they team up with a party with the sordid reputation of the PNC.

APNU AFC have to prove to the population that they will do better, and they then need to mobilize their supporters to vote.

The notion that any party in Guyana should have the entitled expectation that victory is assured to them, or that they deserve it is a fallacy.

The notion that they think that the PPP will lie down and allow them to do so is absurd.

I can only hope that the APNU AFC are shrewder and more hard working than what their GNI supporters are, or that is revealed in the Guyanese media.  The APNU is good for their 40% race vote, but that isn't enough.

Besides criticizing the PPP and deeming the PPP corrupt what is the alliance doing or saying to convince votes that they deserve a chance.

Those who left the PPP should criticize what they have done and blame it on the PPP. They should say what they can do for Guyana beside getting rid of the PPP.  The People would not  be impressed by their vengeful acts of stupidity.

Guys like TK and Sase Singh did noting for Indo_guyanese.
