As much as it's advisable, do you think that the PPP will change its policies to win opposition support in parliament, or will they seek new elections to break the political impasse? Guyana is in for a rough ride if the PPP is not willing to give a little to gain a little with an opposition majority. I would advise President Ramotar to get new advisers, better ideas to work and build trust, and learn to compromise and stop playing the cat and mouse game with bills that sit idle for three months before assents. The joint opposition made a point yesterday to show the government that they mean business and that should send a strong message to the PPP to shape up or ship out.
