This new Bharriott is a "goadie" the Guyanese people must carry.  The expenses would be high and income uncertain.

It is a project that the parliamentary majority -  The AFC and APNU - does not have full details on who are the investors and specific terms, etc. PPP Govt was planning to give some Chinese man full control for an investment of $8 million US for a project that costs $50-55 Million US. Who does business like this?

The PPP acts as if this project is a state secret that our Opposition MPs do not deserve to know about.

The other lie they told is that taxpayers money has not been used, although they are saying the govt put up most of the money.

Everyone knows this is a spite project against Badal who owns the Pegasus and is an AFC supporter.

This project comes at a time when we have excess capacity in the hotel business.  In other words, there is demand for less than half of the hotel rooms we have now.  While this is a nice to do project, it should not have been a top priority of the govt when we have so many other pressing needs, and needs relating to productive economic activities, canning, agro-industries, etc.

The Bharriott reminds us of Buddy's.  Jagdeo lent Buddy govt money to build the hotel which was later sold and the millions of US$ profits, did not come back to the public purse.

And remember they said some Indian Company was going to build another hotel near the specialty Hospital site.  Why are hotels their preferred scam?

This Bharriott is now Guyana's goadie, and the new govt will have to revisit all the arrangements.
