PPP shuts its doors to Raisani

, 33 mins ago BY PPI, Sunday July 05, 2015, Source

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership has refused the request of former Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani for meeting with it.

PPP spokesman said Sunday that Nawab Aslam Raisani requested for a meeting with PPP chairman and co chairman after four to five years. He said, “Raisani’s membership was ended in 2012 for nepotism, corruption, violation of party discipline and now he has no relation with the party nor he has been involved in any activity of party. He had three days to appeal against allegations levelled against him.”

“The way he had closed his doors to party workers during his period, party’s doors are closed for him now. He was installed as chief minister by PPP and its leadership. During peak of his period Nawab Raisani had stated he had no need of PPP and he became Balochistan chief minister because of his tribal position. He had forgotten his political position. He had no place for file nomination papers for election. He totally ignored PPP during his period and caused massive loss to the party,” the spokesman added.

“How does he say now he has relation with PPP? He has no relations with PPP and his political role in Balochistan has abolished forever. How can he consider himself part of PPP? It is prejudice political game which we and our higher leadership understand very well.”

Spokesman added that during his period corruption was at top in Balochistan and Rs 40 billion financial corruption was made. He bought properties in Islamabad, Dubai and Malaysia, he alleged.

PPP spokesman said, “A massive earthquake devastated Ziarat in 2011 damaging houses of thousands of people. International assistance received for earthquake hit people was deposited by then chief minister into his personal account and poor did not get any relief and assistance.

International food and other assistance was distributed in Sarawan’s poor and terrorist elements. Raisani’s rule was a ridiculous era and people of Balochistan know it very well. What was his financial position do not let us talk about that.”
