PPP stands shoulder to shoulder with army: Wattoo

President Punjab PPP Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo has said that PPP totally supports the Zarb-e-Azb military operation of the army and is standing with it shoulder to shoulder to defeat the scourge of terrorism and extremism.

He in a statement issued here Monday said that the Commander-in-Chief of the Army was a respectable personality adding PPP and its leadership hold him in the highest esteem. He observed that the PPP felt nation was in dire need of national consensus and solidarity for which Asif Ali Zardari played an important role forging national consensus through reconciliation. Rumor mongering and unwarranted debate should come to an end in national interest, he added.

He pointed out that the PPP held clear views on the fight against terror when Chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that terrorists were neither Muslim, nor human beings who hate knowledge, scientific enquiry and technological advancements. Their aversion for women, children and humanity was limitless, he added. It was for this reason that the PPP Chairman opposed negotiations with these enemies of humanity because they were devoid of civility and therefore should be defeated on their turf by using the force as negotiations would prove an exercise inutility. The Zarb-e-Azb vindicated the position held by the chairman, he concluded.
