PPP threatens sit-ins against provincial govt

IN PESHAWAR: Pakistan people’s party rejected the results of the may 30 elections in local authorities and threatened to launch a series of protests, sit-ins against the Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf and its government in the province.
speaking at a press conference at the residence of former Federal Minister Arbab the Ālamgīr here on Tuesday, PPP provincial President Khanzada Khan and former provincial President of PPP women wing of ASMA Ālamgīr urged other political parties to unite against the provincial government for election fraud.

In the PPP leaders said that 13 people were killed in a “rigged” election. They appealed to the Supreme Court of Pakistan to take suo Moto notice of the matter for decision, who is responsible for the bloodshed.
If cases could be registered against the chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif for model town incident so why not the chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak should be held responsible for loss of life, they questioned.
MS Ālamgīr stated that the election took place in the shadow of hooliganism and her party rejected the results because women are subjected to violence are not to blame.
