PPP to become party to investigation by Judicial Commission

KARACHI: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) decided on Saturday to become a party to the investigation into alleged rigging during the 2013 general elections by the Judicial Commission.
The party announced that PPP-Parliamentarians, Secretary General Raja Pervaiz Ashraf will submit a request to officially become a party to the investigation while Aitzaz Ahsan will head the legal team.
The suggestion was presented by the PPPβs election reforms committee which was approved by the party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
It is expected that the PPP will present evidence of rigging in two constituenciesβ where Bushra Aitzaz and Chaudhry Manzoor had contested elections from. The party has also instructed other members to submit evidences of rigging.
