PPP using state power to sideline MQM, Izharul Hassan says

KARACHI - Mutahitta Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Deputy parliamentary leader in Sindh, Khawaja Izharul Hassan has said that the latest statement of Sindh’s Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has proved that PPP wants to grab urban local bodies using its state power.
In a statement, Khawaja Izharul said that the PPP is already using state institutes in operation against MQM. .
He suggested Sharjeel Memon to use power against the criminals in Karachi and in interior Sindh that are openly involved in kidnapping for ransom, killing and other severe criminal activities.
“Government is not taking any action against the criminal elements residing in Khairpur, Badin and Dadu equipped with heavy weapons including rocket launchers, explosive material and other modern arms and ammunition but PPP rather countering them using state machinery to curb and corner their political rivals, especially MQM”, he added.
