bro the only cross in guyana is bar--rat

President Donald Ramotar
I would like to thank all the supporters and activists that worked very hard to make this possible. We will continue to work together to realize the dreams of you, your families and the Guyanese people. Guyana will continue up the mountain of progress, and prosperity will be the opportunity available to all.

As we move forward I would like to reiterate a position I have made before. The PPP/C and I will strive to work hard with the opposition in the time ahead and together we will make Guyana, El Dorado.

Once again I would like to thank our supporters but especially those who worked tirelessly night and day for months to bring this victory to fruition ~ President Donald Ramotar

PPPC -32 seats, APNU 26, AFC 7 ... where do we go from here... ???

Lets look back at the history of Guyana....
will this bring chaos or can the politicians work out a deal thats best for all citizens!!!

Looks like 1964 has made full circle here. Hopefully the parties stay put and work for the voters who voted for them rather than consolidate to work for the party. This scenario is perfect for checks and balances and remove cronism. I would like to see some investigations opened to determine what Jagdeo really did while he was president. It could either exhonorate him or hold him responsible.

I think legislation was passed to prevent crossing of the floor....

Correct, you cross, but without your seat...go bare batty.

This is a situation like what Obama is faced with, a do nothing parliament. The PNC/AFC will try its best to vote down any PPP proposal and visa versa. Progress will stall for sure, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. It may prevent mistakes like the Skeldon plant and other blunders. But I don't see how it will affect the corruption and ministers fulling their pockets, this is the real threat to progress in the nation.

.... would all of this eventually lead to new elections ... within 100 days... a fw months ... one year ??? APNU AFC will not easily vote to pass bills and the ppp will not roll over and play dead.... bottom line... new elections ... ???

Should that happen, the PPP would win resoundingly as those Indians who jumped ship to vote AFC has now have seen that a vote for the AFC really means a victory for the dreaded PNC/APNU.

Kidmost GNI link

Betrayal by Moses is PPP fear another major leader has dis-associated from the PPP.
I got nothing against Moses but he was an enabler to what the PPP became after CBJ kicked the bucket. He gave BJ support despite his being kicked to the curb by Janet Jagan and waited until she kicked the bucket to start voicing his disappointment not being chosen leader. It was not until it was evidently clear he would never get the position that be became openly critical of what was going on. In the case of Ramjattan and Trotman they left the PPP and PNC at a time when they had no power and influence but sheer honesty which gave their newly formed AFC a legitimate place in politics.

Sleep first. They must all be quite tired and stressed.

Not Y'all, y'all guys and some ladies ready to fite. Big Grin

These guys all need to work together.

I spent my days growing up among all brothers and sisters of Guyana, I am proud to be Guyanese.
I tell people about my growing up in Guyana, the good and the bad. I have always been proud because we went through a lot and we've made it this far.
We as Guyanese learned things that no North American and probably world wide have learned.
These who have been elected to lead us just have to pull it together.

Failing this, we'll kick em all out and place the GNI politicians into their proper positions.

I do recall seeing a few already posted. Big Grin

I'll be Minister of Something
