Is this new Prashad person a new Ravi Dev?

Only people without leadership skills would talk about separation and partition.

Good leaders bring people together in a climate of fairness and justice.

As long as we are vigilant and quickly pounce on Govt when they make the wrong moves, we will keep them honest and make sure there is fairness for all.

Of course this is no joke. I lived in Quebec for 7 years before moving to Ontario. You remind of the Seperatists and the FLQ.

How do you plan to mobilize and rehabilitate those who will be victims of your partition?

I am for unity.

  • How do you plan to deal with hate among the various castes?
  • How do plan to deal with the hate due to religious differences?
  • How do you plan to deal with the mixed families?
  • Indo Guyanese are less than 50%. What % of the Indos would support you?
  • How do plan to deal with your personal prejudice?

How do you plan to mobilise and influence Indos to move? To live free from hate is  a myth. Even among Indos there are differences.

What currency will you be using?

So you are practising genocide of your own race by depleting your genes. Your children would not be considered "East Indians".

Show evidence that: Granjer has never been known as being inclusive when it comes to East Indians.

Look, it is a  really poor response to say that partition is an option then say that how it is done is not up to you. your poor response is an acknowledgment that partition is not possible. Also. I am a Guyanese entitled to enjoy all of Guyana. Not giving up any part of it to this racist nonsense.

Is this the only solution? No, it is not. This race and partition nonsense has to stop and we need to figure out how to live together and accept the diversity of our nation. If one group wants to set up its own country, what is to stop another group setting up its own in that part. And it will go on. Not a good idea.

What makes it a joke is the little Indo Bantustan that he wants will accept neither his wife, nor his kids.

Whether its a family or a country, track record has proven separation does not have positive results.

In Canada, if Quebec should separate, we might have another India, where one group is in the middle and the other is on both sides of the separation.

At the moment in Canada, they don't get along well with each other, but they have to compromise to make it work.  Do you think it will be better if they separate ? As in India, this is how wars are started.

There are more positive points to try, try and try to find a solution to a challenge, than to separation.

We have seen the consequences of separation : India, Berlin during the wall, etc.

In Guyana we had a separation of politics for 49 years and we see the destructive results. Will more separation of politics bring a better life for the people ?

There is thing called 'Animosity and its Consequences'.

When we don't  try hard enough to  find a way to resolve our differences, we all suffer the consequences.

With people it means  families in turmoil, with a country it means a nation.

If families and countries try hard enough with a compromising mind, they can  find  resolve to just about anything, instead of separation.

I am for Unity.....Not from Unity, de adda guy is.

Why are you guys taking Prashad seriously? Do you see any like-minded persons expressing or endorsing Prashad's views in social media or the press? Indian-generated partition or secession is a non-starter.

Hey Mits, this guy passed away and no one seems to know..or is it "no one seems to care" I just caught it on tv.

"Jacques Parizeau, the blunt-talking sovereigntist premier whose strategic cunning came close to ripping Quebec out of Canada, has died. He was 84."

One of my neighbours brought this up also. I was in Essequibo yesterday and there were several individuals who suggested it. This was not rum shop talk. I was on the losing end of the argument. Had to leave because I needed to catch the last boat home or I would have stayed longer trying to convince them that partition was not an option. Was in Canada during the separate referendum and witnessed how emotions can over-ride reason.
