Arms cache destined for incarcerated ‘Freedom Fighters’ intercepted
The police yesterday intercepted a cache of arms which our sources tell us were destined for an imprisoned member of a gang dubbed 'Freedom Fighters' by opposition activists. Alert ranks on a motorcycle anti-crime patrol stopped two men said to be 17 and 18 years old after one of them threw a bag in the nearby bushes upon seeing the cops. The bag contained an M16 rifle with two full magazines and two grenades.
A source told us that one of the men is the brother of Tyrone 'Cobra' Rowe who was recently found guilty of robbery/murder and sentenced to 78 years in prison. Rowe had evaded capture for several months and surrendered in the company of Mark Benschop. The source told us that the teens were merely transporting the weapon and grenades to a gang in the Georgetown prison. This was in order to facilitate another Mash Day 2003 style prison break. It was provided by an individual called 'Tookie' who resides overseas and funded the gang which targeted several government buildings including the Ministry of Health which was destroyed by fire. Tookie is also close to Mark Benschop and is said to have provided him with significant funding. He also provided the Fineman gang with substantial arms and ammunition. Police raided a South Rumiveldt property yesterday after being provided with information by the two teens.
