Can we ever expect Speaker Trotman to cross party line and vote for a government bill that he finds acceptable during his term as speaker?

A Speaker of parliament can ONLY cast a vote when there is a tie in the count.
In ALL other circumstances, the Speaker is bound to refrain from voting.
With the count of 33/32, there would never be a tie for him to intervene. Am I one the money here?
Correct Abidha, if it is 33/32.
However, members could miss parliament where the actual count can be the same for the government and the opposition parties.
Forgive me for asking...but if a member miss parliament for any reason his/her vote is not counted? In other words no show no vote?
Correct .. no show ==> no vote.
Darn, only if I know how to make Ramjattan and Moses disappear for a sitting, KN would be writing about a different Bacco man. Thanks for the brief lesson! I have some more political question for next time. I hope you wouldn't mind then.
