Guyana is now training its doctors and nurses.  The Government sent hundreds of students to study abroad and they are not coming back.

I wonder why they are not coming back? Canada is facing an unprecedented shortage of health care professionals; a problem exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Guyana is not a safe place for expatriates.

Canadian graduates are working in the US because of better salaries and they are better schooled.
