President Zardari's security chief, 2 others killed in Karachi bombing
Bilal Shaikh and two others were killed in the blast, which took place near an office of President Zardari's Pakistan People's Party (PPP) in the volatile city on Wednesday, the daily Dawn newspaper reported.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, but Pakistani officials lay the blame on pro-Taliban militants who have carried out similar assaults in the past.
The deadly incident comes two weeks after a powerful bomb explosion struck the convoy of Maqbool Baqir, a senior judge at the High Court of Sindh Province, in Burns Road in Karachi on.
The fatal attack left at least 12 people dead. Police officers and passers-by were among the casualties.
Karachi has experienced a fresh spate of violence and targeted killings over the past few months.
