Property tax in Guyana

I know someone who has a house worth at least 75k USD and they are paying 40 USD per yr land and property tax..

To me this seems really low...

But by Gy's standards is the low or high?

Now when people complain about the lack of services you creeps in the AFC/PNC now see why. It looks like these fools suddenly ketching sense. ahahahha

The PPP stole most of the money that should have been spent on services. The lack of services is not down to the U$40 that Jagdeo and his friends pay on their properties in Cocainefield settlement. It is down to those well off PPPites who refuse to want to pay more. For the last couple of decades no effort has been made by the PPP regime to increase property taxes levied against the PPP property owners.

For years most of those businesses in Georgetown dont pay taxes. They are protected by the Govt when the City Council try to collect. They same Govt then critizise the City Council for the uncleanliness of the city.

some of those bussiness own so much money to the city council,if the city collect most of them have to close.these people feel that the government is protecting them and they still want good service from the council.the government is encouraging this shit that is why georgetown is stink

Property taxes collection and spending is a function of the local municipality. For instance Green is in charge of collecting the taxes for Georgetown and greater GT. How did the PPP get their hands on that money to steal if Green is collecting it? Where ignorance is bliss it is folly to be wise. ahhahaahahahahaha
