They all came to an agreement through diplomacy. It's on the news. Obama don't want a any escalation with Russia. He only know to beat up on Iraqis and Afghans.

What can Obama do?

We can start with what we know about the options.

Russia, the US, UK and Ukraine signed an agreement for these three countries to uphold the territorial integrity of the fourth country, Ukraine, as a deal for Ukraine to give up what was then the world's 3rd largest nuclear arsenal.

The West is actively encouraging the Ukraine to join the EU and NATO, like Poland. Russia does not want NATO on its doorstep and so geopolitics trumped international niceties. Thus we are back to the pre-millenium era of the Cold War. This understanding means that the US can do nothing about Russia's sphere of interest. Obama has so far tried the millennial tools of economic sanctions and we all know how little that will do as long as Germany imports a lot of gas from Russia.

What we as citizens need to consider:

1. Israel, India and China so far have been neutral in Russia's annexation of Crimea and stirring up trouble in Eastern Ukraine to force autonomy from Western Ukraine.

2. Western Ukraine is traditionally a far-right nationalist polity who had aligned with Nazi Germany in the past.

3. The interim Ukrainian government is not the recognized government having seized power through street protests, so we're in a legal vacuum here.

4. This interim government removed Russian as an official language. That's like saying to the NYC government you cannot have your official documents in Spanish or the Canadian federal government abandoning French from their official documents.

When you guys ask stupid questions that insinuate Obama is a jackass, I have to turn around and ask why you all are so assinine.

Obama had a red line in Syria over the use of gas. Then the Saudis sent in Al Qaeda to take over the rebel movement. Obama paused and said mmmm, Assad will have to be engaged with Al Qaeda. Let me focus on the international relief and bordering states as a result of the refugee crisis. Then every Fox Noise followers and stupid Democrats say the man is weak and indecisive. HE stopped two wars and prevented bloodshed in a lot of places. He is not weak and stupid, and y'all got to stop asking assinine questions.

Not true. The EU has not made any efforts to encourage Ukraine to join the EU. It is not on offer anywhere. The Ukrainians want to join though which is a different thing all together.

Mince words......slice and dice.......cut to the chase......song and dance......whatever, the objective is the same and Obama understands Putin's resolve. He just have to play along. But that's not what matters in this forum. It's how stupid questions get asked to make Obama look weak and useless.
